Newborn baby girl Rosemary, only 5 days old. She slept soundly through the entire photo session. My goodness, she is newborn photographer's dream model. Rosemary was fed before and after the session. She is breastfed, but her mom didn't mind bringing a pacifier for soothing between poses. Pacifier is recommended for a successful newborn session. We were finished in less then two hours.
First 10 days are best for newborn photos. During these first days babies are sleepy and squishy, easier to pose and haven't yet discovered the art of stretching their hands and legs. Once the baby has learned stretching it becomes more challenging to swaddle and pose and the session may take longer.
